The DTS Series is engineered and manufactured with the latest in P.V.C. twin screw technology utilizing precision manufactured long life components for top performance and durability. DTS Series extruders are available in three sizes: 75, 94 and 114mm screw diameters. All feature 26:1 or 33:1 L/D screw technology for high outputs. This rugged equipment is built without compromise for lnog term productivity and performance.

Extruder Drive Gear Box Screws Control Cabinet

AC vector drive systems for all applications in conjuction with vector duty low maintenace AC motors. Connected via direct coupling or fully guarded matched belts and sheaves.

Heavy duty high torque rated gear reducer with incrporated high capacity thrust bearings. The gear box is of compact design with sturdy cast housing manufactured to reduce misalignment and eliminate vibration. Optimized gear geometry and the use of high quality alloy steels in conjuction with special gear wheel productions techniques have contributed to lower noise levels and longer gear box lifetime

Extra depth nitrided screws designed for optimal throughputs manufactured from the highest quality nitrided alloy steel. Internal screw cooling achieved through a closed loop self optimizing system that requires no maintenance. Molybdenum surface wear protection coating for high wear applications gives significantly longer screw life, optinally available. Special performance designs engineered to suit individual applications for superior outputs and melt quality available.

Base mounted control panel containing microprocessor based temperature controllers, circuit breakers, ammeters, load contactors, and control transformer for each barrel and die zone. The drive operator keypad station containing the following; speed regulation, start/stop, screw speed indicator, load indicator as well as other drive data and fault indicators which are remote mounted near head on operator side. A die heating stepdown transformer is included. Power requirements 460/3/60 standard, 230/3/60 or 575/3/60 available.

Barrel Heating & Cooling Barrel Base

Clamp

Processing control achieved via cast aluminum heating elements, each zone individually shrouded to guide cooling air directly over barrel elements. Cooling air provided by externally mounted blowers. Long preheating zone for wide processing window.

Precision manufactured twin borings of the highest quality nitrided alloy steel. Extra depth nitriding of 0.7 to 0.9mm and hardness level of 58 to 60 HRC. Customer specific flanging available.

Heavy duty structural steel base provides for exact alignment between all plastification components. Extruder components including motor control panel and transformer prewired in a compact unitzed package for easy component accessibility and minimal installation time. The adjustment feature of the front barrel support allows for precise barrel alignment.

Three piece taper grip clamp with single swing bolt fastening capability provides positive seal and alignment between barrel and die flange. Two piece double hinged swing bolt design and adjustable hinged die support optionally available.

Optionally Available

Deltatech PLC-based touchscreen extrusion control system with multi microprocessor control, PID temperature control, closed loop speed control, direct access menus, full drive synchronization capability, alarm diagnostics, and various communications means.
